A word from Richard

Merry Christmas. Oh wow isn’t it getting exciting with only a few weeks left to Christmas!!!

So if you haven’t quite filled the stocking how about a nice compact shower filter? The gift that keeps on giving. Or a Counter top water purifier to help a loved one to better health. They’re great.

Hope you’ve got your Christmas staff functions booked by now because there aren’t many vacancies left. This year we’ll be enjoying a nice train ride into the city to be dined by the wonderful host Matthew Clarke at Bar138 on Barrack. It will be so nice to wind up and relax with the whole team.

The last couple of weeks have been quite a traumatic time in my life. I help saved a close mate from suicide and have him on the mend. It really brings home a reminder of all the good work that the Police, Life Line, Black Dog, Beyond Blue and more do for male depression and suicide prevention, there are also others out there specifically targeted for Teens, young adults and Women. The best thing we can all do is keep in touch with our mates, our family’s and ask “RUOK” and engage in conversation and just keep an eye out for each other. This Christmas will bring sad times for some people so take care of them with a call or a pop in. It all helps.

In case you don’t know we do have some things hyper linked from this Newsletter to various sites, our website and Facebook page for eg. So anything that is underlined can usually take you to a source of information from an article even. It’s all very cool I think.

So from all of us here at West Coast Water Filter Man HQ we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe return to 2017 with a Happy New Year. Yippee.

Don’t forget to keep hydrated. And remember; You either use a water filter or your body is one!

Our precious water

Water is without doubt one of the most undervalued resources on earth.

Without water life would not exist on the planet - all living things rely on water and without it we die, quite quickly. Humans can survive without food for up to a month, but without drinking water survival is limited to a matter of days.

It’s not surprising that throughout history, people have settled near to water sources for drinking and to grow crops. From the Seine River in Paris to Lake Texcoco in Mexico City, population growth and distribution have been intimately linked to the availability of fresh water for centuries.

Less than 1% of all water on Earth is available or clean enough for humans to drink. The rest is salty or frozen. The amount of available water has not changed for tens of thousands of years.

Approximately 1 billion people in over forty countries are currently under a water crisis. The increasing world population and the demand for better livelihoods globally, will continue to contribute to a worsening water crisis.

Yet the chase for the almighty dollar see's big corporations and Governments take chances with our precious resource and violate treaties just to satisfy their hunger for the almighty dollar.

Water facts

Our bodies are made up of over 80% water.

At birth you are 90% water and at death you are less than 50%, our eyes are 95% water, our Brain 75% water, our Heart 75% water, our Lungs 86% water, and our Blood, which is 83% water. Somewhere between birth and death, we become dehydrated - we've accepted as normal somewhere around 70%. So anything above 70% is good, but the ideal is moving more towards 90%.

That's probably what makes babies so supple. You know, you touch their skin and it's soft, it's pliable, it's supple. This is because the skin is hydrated and we lose that over time from dehydration. You want younger looking skin – simply drink more water and stay hydrated.

Customer testimonial

Westzone Enterprises

I would like to convey to you my sincere appreciation for all the assistance you have given me from when I first contacted you making an enquiry of installing filtered water in our office.

I found you to have a wealth of product knowledge and it gave me confidence dealing with you as you are so passionate about the health benefits of drinking filtered water, but at no stage did I ever feel pressured with hard selling.

The installation of the hot and cold bench top unit went without incident and I attribute this to the fact that you supplied me with concise plumbing details required to be fitted by our plumber. The unit you recommended has also exceeded our expectations.

The efficiency you display in your business never ceases to amaze me. It was of great surprise that you followed up with after sales service, something that is seriously lacking in business today. I will take great pleasure in recommending your company at every opportunity in the future. I wish you ongoing success.

A closing thought

CELTIC PROVERB

“True greatness knows gentleness”

To be great means many different things to different folk. I think greatness means ‘to be pure and loving in all you do’. There are great leaders, great speakers, great activists and the truly great ones know that being a kind soul- a gentle soul- will help you more than brute force and harsh words.
