A word from Richard

Hi there how’s things?

Gee the year sure is scooting along and here we are in September already. That might be scary for some.

Business has been steady but not the usual busy/busy and it seems that everyone is waiting for the election to be over before they all start spending again. Well it’s time to start spending, growing your business, putting on more staff, investing in that project or what ever else it is, just go for it! Make it happen!

We regret that our Fruit & Veg give away offer has ended as the company have now closed their doors. So stay tuned to something new and exciting that we will implement that is a win/win situation for all.

Wow exciting times ahead. Three weeks left now until the family and I fly off to New Zealand for a nice 3 week family holiday on the south island. They say the water is pretty good in NZ. We're so lucky to have such a fantastic team that can run the business while we're away. Stay tuned and keep an eye on our face book page for up date's.

So until next time all the way from NZ Cheers Cheers and remember, If You're Not Using A Water Filter, Your Body Is One!!!

Plasma-Treated Nano Filters Help Purify World Water Supply

Access to safe drinking water is a step closer to being a reality for those in developing countries, thanks to new research.

The study paves the way for the next generation of portable water purification devices, which could provide relief to the 780 million people around the world who face every day without access to a clean water supply.

An international team of researchers -- led by Associate Professor Hui Ying Yang from Singapore University of Technology and Design -- showed that water purification membranes enhanced by plasma-treated carbon nanotubes are ideal for removing contaminants and brine from water.

According to Dr Han, these membranes could be integrated into portable water purification devices the size of a tea pot that would be rechargeable, inexpensive and more effective than many existing filtration methods. Contaminated water would go in one end, and clean drinkable water would come out the other.

Dr Han acknowledges that some smaller portable devices do already exist. However, because they rely on reverse osmosis and thermal processes, they are able to remove salt ions but are unable to filter out organic contaminants from the briny water found in some river and lake systems.

"For people in remote locations, briny water can sometimes be the only available water source," he says. "That's why it's important to not only be able to remove salts from water, but to also be able to put it through a process of purification."

Water facts

The water recyclers poem

The glass of water you're about to drink deserves a second thought, I think.

For fountains, oceans and those that follow are all involved in every swallow.

The molecules of water in a single glass in number at least five times, has past.

The water in you is between and betwixt and having traversed is thoroughly mixed, so someone quenching a future thirst could easily drink what you drank first.

The water you are about to taste, no doubt represents a bit of the waste from prehistoric beast and bird. A notion you may find absurd.

The fountain spraying in the park could well sprout bits from Joan of Arc or Adam, Eve and all their kin. You'd be surprised where your water has been.

Just think! The water you can not retain will someday hence return as rain or could be seen as the purest dew, though long ago passed through you.

Richard's Health Tip

Go Bananas!!

A banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'

Customer testimonial

HomePageHome Pty Ltd

I've never been a huge fan of drinking water on its own, but after trying some filtered water from Richard the Waterfilterman, I love it!

As a result, my family and I now have a counter-top water filter that provides us with year round clean water from our tap.

Knowing that none of us are using our bodies to filter the harmful chemicals gives my wife and I great peace of mind!

Thanks Richard!!
