A word from Richard

Hello everyone,

Well it has been an amazing April with continuing progress, fantastic business growth and support from our advocates. I’m so excited about the future and love seeing the joy and passion our team has toward their roles and to delivering award winning service to our clients.

No wonder they say we’re the friendliest and best service based company in Perth. Thank you all for your support.

Another feather to our cap! Persistence sure pays off as we recently secured the position of WA Service Agent for Clearwater Filter Systems who are one of the biggest filtration companies on the east coast. Go the Water Filter Man.

Susanne has progressed to a full time sales role from servicing and sales and is thriving on the challenge. We now have our good friend Jeremy assisting with servicing. He has been in the industry for over a decade now and his wealth of knowledge will be a huge asset and support to our team.

We are also implementing strategies to make account payment even easier for our clients, hopefully resulting in time saved chasing over due payments, time that can be better spent on more productive areas in the business.

With winter just around the corner remember it is just as important to keep well hydrated with purified water. Call us now so you too can enjoy great tasting water and our award winning service.

Keep hydrated and we’ll be in touch again soon.

"You either use a water filter or your body is one.®"

Richard Scholes

Tips for Tap

While the quality of water will vary between homes, there are a few ways to start sipping more soundly.

Firstly, contact the local Public Water Supply for a Consumer Confidence Report and ask about further testing options. Also, try these simple tips to reduce lead (one of the most dangerous but preventable toxins) in drinking water:

Run It. - When a particular faucet hasn’t been used for six hours or more, “flush” the cold water pipes by running the water until it becomes as cold as it will get.

Drink Cold. - For drinking, cooking, and preparing baby formula, always reach for the cold water tap. Hot water is likely to contain higher levels of lead and copper.

Take a Sniff. - Smell rotten eggs, chemicals, or an earthy or metallic-type odor? Consult this troubleshooting resource or contact the local public water department if the problem isn’t described.

Go Filtered. - Pregnant women, children under the age of 6, and those with weak immune systems should opt for filtered water to keep harmful contaminants away.

Of course, bottled water is always an alternative to tap (albeit a pricier one), just remember that not every bottle comes “straight from the source. ” Some bottled brands are simply purified tap water — or not even purified at all.

But in areas with good quality drinking water, and after taking all the recommended precautions, there should be little to worry about when it comes to tap. Studies show there might even be some pluses, such as natural mineral content like calcium, magnesium, and sodium, which could be beneficial to some individuals. So if the tap at home makes the grade, drink up!

Water facts

Supercooling and "Instant" Ice

Everybody knows that when you cool water to 0 °C (32 °F) it forms ice ... except that in some cases it doesn't! You can actually chill very pure water past its freezing point (at standard pressure, no cheating!) without it ever becoming solid.

Scientists know a lot about supercooling: it turns out that ice crystals need nucleation points to start forming. These nucleation points could be anything from gas bubbles to impurities to the rough surface of the container. Without these things, water would continue to be a "supercooled" liquid well below its freezing point.

Richard's Health Tip

Healthy skin

Drinking filtered water can clear up your skin and people often report a healthy glow after drinking filtered water. It won't happen overnight of course but just a week of drinking a healthy amount of filtered water can have good effects on your skin. About one litre of filtered water for every 25 kg of body weight plus one litre of filtered water for every hour of exercise, every day.

Customer testimonial

Lee Attewell - Graffic Jam

Hey there Richard and the team at West Coast Waterfilter Man. I wanted to let you know (again) what a pleasure it was having Troy in our home last week to fit our new under sink filter. Living in Thornlie we were getting sick of having nearly pleasant water one day to having smelly mud coming through the next week. Now we've got the best tasting clear water on tap (literally).

It's always a great experience dealing with your Company, all of your team are always really polite, chatty and friendly.

Being someone who works inside other people's homes as well, I was REALLY impressed with how clean Troy worked he really showed that he cared about his work.

Thanks again guys, you're awesome!!!
